Not only is it the beginning of a new off road season, it is also the beginning of a new era for Ramy 4×4, the leading off road specialists in the UAE since 1992. A new era in which they aim to make people rethink the idea of 4×4 modification so that off roaders can spend more time out of the garage and on the dunes.
The first vehicle built through this project goes by the name ‘Black Phoenix’, a moniker reminiscent of the colour scheme used. It was unveiled at ADIHEX on the 9th of September and is the best example of how racing technicians can improve a vehicle. Based on a 2015 two door Jeep the ‘Black Phoenix’ is equipped with some of the highest quality and best performing parts on the market.
For power, Ramy 4×4 upgraded the standard 3.6l Pentastar V6 with a custom painted Magnuson supercharger which bumps the stock 285 HP to a figure closer to 400 HP. This added oomph, coupled with the Alloy USA 4.56 gearing upgrade, helps to turn the 37” MUD Claw tires which are mounted on 17” Rugged Ridge rims. For keeping the Jeep planted on the ground (and safe when it gets some airtime!), Teraflex’s 2.5” lift and a full set of high performance King suspension components (including shocks and a steering stabilizer) have been called upon. The obligatory JCR (front) and Rugged Ridge (rear) bumper, Artec axle reinforcement and Rugged Ridge Performance dual tip exhaust system are all installed but this Jeep also benefits from a colour matched RockHard4x4 upgraded roll cage, the best protection in off road accidents, and AMP Research power folding side steps.
Apart from the aforementioned components, ARB front and rear differential locks keep the Jeep moving when the going gets tough and JW Speaker LED headlights as well as a raft of Rugged Ridge auxiliary LED and blast lights shine the way during night time excursions. If all else fails, a Warn Zeon 10 winch will recover the vehicle from any situation.
Marwan Semaan, the Deputy Manager of Sales and Marketing at Ramy 4×4, is very excited about the prospect of offering customers a new opportunity “At Ramy 4×4 we are constantly trying to distinguish ourselves from the competition. This is the first time we have done anything like this and we are confident that our clients will welcome the opportunity to own a fully modified yet completely new Jeep.”
The new owner of the first Jeep built through this program, who is having the car shipped to Azerbaijan, will no doubt take advantage of the immense work that the Ramy 4×4 team has put into this project. Encouraged by the sale, there are already two more vehicles on their way and many more in the pipeline from the Gulf’s leading modification experts.
