Lotus Cars shows its commitment to the UAE with the official opening of the brand-new Lotus showroom in Dubai. The Lotus Dubai facility on Sheikh Zayed Road is the result of a partnership with Adamas Motors and offers new and existing customers the opportunity to experience the famous brand first hand in the heart of Dubai.

Officially opened today by Marcus Blake, Commercial Director of Group Lotus plc and H.E Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ceremony included esteemed guests, key media and senior management from across the Lotus operations.

The new 5000 square feet Lotus Dubai showroom, capable of showcasing up to 10 cars, opened its doors with the presentation of the range of Lotus vehicles carefully selected and optioned to suit the aspirations of customers in the UAE. On display at the inaugural event was the limited-edition Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 25 with 3 of the worldwide volume of 25 units making their way to the GCC; the only Lotus 3-Eleven 430 in the Middle East finished in the famous Lotus black and gold livery; and the internationally acclaimed and fastest Lotus production vehicle ever, the Lotus Evora GT430.

MG Motor and Al Yousuf Motors open new Dubai showroom

MG Motor, along with their new UAE distributor, Al Yousuf Motors has opened the doors to a new showroom. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the showroom will showcase the MG ZS, and, the MG RX5 SUVs, as well as the MG 360 compact sedan.

As the recently appointed UAE distributor of MG Motor, Al Yousuf Motors will provide a range of services for new and existing customers of the rejuvenated MG brand, including new car sales, servicing, finance packages and leasing deals. In addition to the Sheikh Zayed Road showroom, MG Motors models will be available from four other locations across the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al-Khaimah and Fujairah)

AGMC breaks ground at new multi-million Dubai Motor City site

New BMW and MINI showroom and aftersales facility will be first automotive dealership in Dubai Motor City as part of AGMC’s network expansion to cater to its existing and potential customers across Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates

AGMC, the official importer of BMW Group products for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has broken ground at the site of what will be a new, ultra-modern, multi-million-dirham BMW and MINI facility in Dubai Motor City.

The new 100,000 square foot showroom and aftersales facility will be the first fully-fledged automotive dealership to open in the increasingly popular Dubai Motor City area.

Stathis, Managing Director of Albatha Automotive Group, the parent company of AGMC, said: “Throughout our 42-year partnership with BMW Group, AGMC has continuously striven to meet and exceed the automotive needs of drivers in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. This latest investment will allow us to cater to the increasing demand of both the BMW and MINI brands, and bring the highest levels of service to our loyal customers. A key highlight is the building’s iconic and contemporary design, which reflects the BMW Corporate Identity and allows customer interaction in a setting where each family member will feel at home and engaged. It has been designed to provide customers with the opportunity to experience and be immersed in the brand, including a dedicated sales area for luxury segment vehicles. At the same time, the aftersales area will play a vital role in making the ownership experience more convenient. Glass panels will provide full visibility into the workshop area, integrating it into the overall warm and welcoming ambiance of the showroom.

During the construction phase, only certified materials will be used, resulting in less energy consumption and reduced emissions once operational. Particular attention will be paid to the recycling concepts for water, oil and batteries. It will also be fully compliant with the Dubai Municipality Sustainability requirements and in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote Dubai’s sustainable development by 2020.

The new facility will embody all elements from BMW Group’s ‘Future Retail’ Strategy, a series of latest customer engagement features put in place to help BMW and MINI stand out in a competitive market.

These will include: a Mobile Customizer, an iPad App enabling live car configuration and demonstration during consultations, and a Virtual Product Presentation. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) services will allow customers to immediately bring up lifelike, three dimensional images of any BMW or MINI model on a smartphone or tablet, via which they can walk around them, open doors, and even ‘step into’ the vehicles. Using the visualisation tool, customers can also customise cars, and see the full range of product options on the spot. In addition new employee roles will allow AGMC to evolve the way in which it interacts with customers in the sales process. This includes Product Geniuses – experts whose sole role is to educate car shoppers about the various choices, explain the products and help the customer to understand them in more detail.

Every element of the customer journey has been considered and elevated to deliver a completely redesigned physical experience to the showroom, with a new furniture layout that will create a modern, warm, open and friendly atmosphere. In addition, an enhanced aftersales facility will include 38 work bays, 16 of which will be Fastlane. Service consultations directly at the vehicle will now happen in a premium environment and our customers will be able to relax in luxurious lounges while waiting for their car to be serviced.

In addition to the new multi-million Dubai Motor Show facility, AGMC has invested more than AED 100 million over the past five years across all areas of the business to cater for the growth of the BMW Group brands and to enhance the overall customer experience. This includes the opening of new facilities in Fujairah and Deira, and the expansion of its Sheikh Zayed Road showroom in 2011 and most recently March 2016, which saw the inauguration of a new workshop for BMW and MINI at the flagship facility, with 22 work bays, an exclusive MINI workshop, in-house training center and 250 parking slots.

Brand new Aston Martin dealership to open in China

A brand new flagship Aston Martin dealership will launch in Wuhan, China later this year.

The 500m2 two-floor showroom will welcome customers from the centre of China to browse a state-of-the-art display of Aston Martin’s product range and make use of a new, full function service workshop.

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province in Central China, a region that is enjoying strong economic growth. With excellent transport links, Wuhan sits equidistant between Beijing and Guangzhou, and has been projected to be China’s third largest city economy by 2025, returning to its traditional status as one of China’s premier cities.

Aston Martin President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andy Palmer, arrived in Wuhan this morning to sign the contract for the new dealership with President of Aston Martin China, Michael Peng.

Dr Andy Palmer, said: “Since opening our first dealership here in 2011, Aston Martin has made good progress in China. This will become an important market for our new SUV, the Aston Martin DBX, when it goes into production next year.  I’m delighted with the location of the new Wuhan dealership in the heart of the city’s central business district and I look forward to coming back in the Autumn for the grand opening.”

Michael Peng added: “I am honoured to be here today, signing a contract that will see Aston Martin expand it’s presence in  Central China. I believe this is a very important market for us and being located in Wuhan will enable us to reach many more customers in this important region.”

The new Wuhan dealership forms part of a larger  network expansion for Aston Martin in China, which is the fastest growing market for the British luxury carmaker.  Further announcements regarding Aston Martin’s ambitious plans within the Chinese market will be revealed later this week.

 World First Porsche Studio opened in Beirut

Porsche is strengthening its presence in the Middle East by opening a Porsche Studio in Beirut, a first for the region. Similar to “Porsche on Sylt” and the “Porsche Studio Guangzhou”, the new site in the Lebanese capital adopts an innovative sales format, which enables the sports car manufacturer to interact with a wide spectrum of target groups. Located in the city centre, the new premises offer visitors an immersive brand experience, which highlights a range of the brand’s services. A special feature is the runway staging area – reminiscent of a catwalk at a fashion show – and LED screen, which plays visual content depicting various sports cars in real-world scenarios. Special sound and fragrance elements create an experience that appeals to all senses.

Porsche Studio Beirut is centrally located in the Solidere shopping district, covering an area of over 309 square metres and providing the brand with a strong presence in the immediate vicinity of its current and prospective customers. If a visitor is interested in making a purchase, their vehicle of choice can be customised on-site in the Trimming and Configuration Labs, with further tailoring possibilities from Exclusive Manufaktur. The Porsche Studio works closely with the existing Porsche Centre in Beirut, making it possible to purchase vehicles directly on site.

The Cayenne S, which was displayed on the Porsche Studio Beirut runway, is powered by a 2.9-litre, biturbo-charged V6 engine with 440 hp (an increase of 20 hp) and 550 Nm of torque. It reaches 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds (4.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package) and boasts a top speed of 265 km/h.

Talking about the new vehicle unveiling, Ralph R. Debbas stated that “the Fenyr SuperSport is the most incredible car ever produced so far”.

Gathered guests were also able to witness exclusively the regional premiere of the ICONIQ Seven in both its Premium and VIP editions after their successful debut at the acclaimed Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year. Designed by W Motors design studio in Dubai, in collaboration with its partner ICONIQ Motors, the two fully electric MPVs are developed around the passenger with the purpose of bringing the latest in comfort and connectivity.

The ICONIQ Seven Premium Edition brings incredible features when it comes to passenger comfort, a key characteristic since the car was fully developed around the passenger’s experience while the VIP Edition being the ultimate version of the Seven platform, is the most sophisticated and refined fully electric MPV ever created, a combination of luxurious materials, advanced technology and unseen customization levels in its class.

Both partners have also unveiled the “L5 Autonomous Concept” targeted for Expo 2020 in Dubai. This advanced Level 5 vehicle, which is currently in its development stage through the help of world-class engineering and technology companies, such as AKKA Technologies along with several other multinational partners, will be launched mid 2018 in a first demonstration version, to be fully functional for the most anticipated Expo 2020.
